Positive Behavior Supports (PBiS)

Positive Behavior Supports (PBIS) is a school-wide approach to creating a positive safe climate in which students can learn and grow.  PBIS exists to improve the behavior of all students in all school environments. Our school has created and taught a set of behavior expectations and developed a system that positively acknowledges students for those behaviors.  Research across the USA has shown that  PBIS improves school climate by:

·         Engaging more students in learning

·         Preventing major behavior problems

·         Are safer and inclusive

·         Respond to student behavior effectively and positively

·         Improve interventions for students with more significant problems/issues

·         Enhance achievement for all students.
